Apart from Confidence, at the start of the career, these are the things to keep in mind.
1. Well presented/Presentable
You will be judged by your very first impression .Wear good clean formals or well ironed clothes. Neat hair combed and pinned, clean nails and shoes.
“If you can’t keep yourself neat and presentable, how will you put that to use in your WORK”

2. Be Punctual
I make it a point to be at least half hour/15 minutes prior to interview, to compose myself. This goes on to show your commitment/respect to time. This time allows yourself to be prepared or observe the office and people and the vibe of the office ,will let you know what you are getting into.
3. A Good Portfolio
Along with impressive cover letter and crisp resume, a good portfolio is must. Keep it minimal with best of your work and explain each of your thought behind your design. Also be prepared for the structural aspect, material used, concepts, i.e., any aspect of the portfolio you must be well aware of. It shows your thought process and that you have enough knowledge of your design. Put your portfolio in behance, or similar platform and keep updating your profile. You should have a well updated profile on LinkedIn as well.
4. Ask question to the Interviewer
Usually the question, they expect is salary. Along with that do ask about their current projects, what they expect from you, what exactly you will be given work, and if that supports your long term career plan, than go for it. I usually ask this very important question, what exactly will I be working on.
5. Feedback
This is very important. As a creative field, it is always good to ask for a feedback. By the end of the interview, you kind of get a feeling if you will be selected or not. Do ask them what was good in portfolio /interview and which areas you can improve on.
And don’t be nervous and act like they (office interviewer) needs you, not vice-a versa, but not arrogant of course. At start of your career just don’t grab any opportunity, be well aware of what you want, and if it really satisfies your long term goal. And believe me, give lots of interview that will really boost your confidence and will let you know where you excel/lack. And if you want to learn about all aspects of projects do join mid-size firm or small firm, that will teach you from very basic i.e. how to take printout to what are the levels of a project till the execution. All the best:)
