Lately I have been enjoying slow cooking and it has been therapeutic. It feels nice to know the art of slow cooking.
The smell of the spices, aroma of the ginger-garlic paste and onion in hot coconut oil is mesmerizing and must say is satisfying.
I have always seen Papa enjoy cooking on weekends while Amma helping him chop or peel garlic and other veggies, etc.
So, this Sunday my brother was at home and I asked if he can bring prawns so that we can cook it like how papa makes it.
(Called papa on phone and got the recipe for my favorite dish)
Started late as my dear brother was late in getting the prawns from Star market, till then I had all the veggies and needed items chopped, peeled and well arranged to save time.
Cooking in earthen pot and that too my favourite dish for the first time has been enriching and joyful!

1.Clean the prawns 2-3 times.
2.Marinate prawn with Indian spices and salt for 15 mins minimum.
3.Heat the earthen pot in low flame.

4. Heat Oil, put jeera, Curry leaves, mashed ginger garlic , green chillies, onion chopped.

5. Put grated coconut.
6. Mix well, put all the Indian spices according to taste.

7.Pour some hot water, till the prawns are well dipped.

8.Cover with a lid.
9.Before turning the flame off, put little bit of pepper powder, coconut grated and coriander.

10. Eat hot with choru (rice )
